Culture-ActionS helps you financing your cultural or dedication projects

 

You would like to realise a cultural or dedication project: shoot a movie, produce a band, put a play on the stage, create choreography, do a humanitarian action, organize an exhibition, create a newspaper, create animation on the campus, disseminate the scientific or technical knowledge, take actions in the environment, economics, sport, solidarity, citizenship….field ?

Every year, the CROUS co finance several hundreds of projects of students, whether alone or member of an association.

The best files will be presented to a national commission which will be able to grant additional aid depending on the quality of the project.

Consult the list of co-financed projects by the CROUS in 2007 and 2008.

The local cultural commission meets 3 or 4 times a year to examine Culture-ActionS files, select them and decide the amount of the co-financing of the CROUS.

Of course, the project’s realisation, whatever the project, has to benefit to the whole student community of the education authority. Moreover, the financial aid is granted only if other financings have been required and allocated (sponsoring, business sponsoring, material lending, technical advises….). Other criteria have to be taken into account.

Beneficiaries of a Culture-ActionS co-financing commit themselves to put the CROUS logo (please ask the service for it) on  the project itself and on every communication medium used to promote the project. In the same way, the CROUS website can be an information relay for your actions: send us your items.

Steps to take

Ask the communication and cultural service for a Culture-ActionS file or download it . Do no hesitate to contact the service for further information.
Draw up a budget balanced in revenue and expenses and ask for financial partners
Send the file back to the CROUS.

Conditions for application

Be a student, registered in a higher education institution of the Bas-Rhin. A project can be presented by a student alone, a group of students or a student association.

The project belongs to one of the following categories :

• Theatre, dance: creation, workshop, tour, theatre improvisation, festival
• Cinema, audio-visual, multimedia: creation, festival (8. 16 or 35 mm), video, diaporama…
• Writing: creation of newspaper, comics, literary meetings…
• Music: concerts, workshop, recordings…
• Exhibitions: plastics arts, sculptures, photographs…
• Humanitarian actions: local or international…
• Scientific and technical culture, sport, economics, citizenship….

Criteria for allocation

The project should have visible and significant coverage for the student’s community of the education authority, therefore contributing to the animation of the campus.

Are eliminated of the Culture-ActionS :

• A final work in studies or an educational exercise
• The edition of thesis and dissertations
• School trips and holidays
• A project already passed (no retroactive effect)
• The renewal in the same state of a project. You need changes to get a second grant
• The running costs of an association
• A project aiming a selected community (ethnic or other)
• The gala events
• Conventions

Document to provide to get the payment if the grant is allocated

• Signed commitment of co-financing institutions
• A bank account identification document
• The moral statement and the balance sheet
  

If need be:

• Copy of the regulations governing the association, certified extract from the president.
• The composition of the team with original signature of the president of the association

Or

• an extract from the register of associations of the regional court (original or copy).
