Hostels
Some hostels provide housing on full-board or half-board. They can be mixed or only for boys or for girls.
Trainees’ housing
Students registered in a higher education institution and coming to Strasbourg for an internship within the framework of their studies can be housed in the university residence hall of the CROUS, subject to availability.
This housing has a fixed duration (minimum 15 days) and is only possible between January and August.
the period between September and December is not open to reception of trainees.

From 281.60 to 442.20 per month in studios
To benefit from this housing, you will have to provide, one month before your arrival, a written application with a photocopy of your student card and the internship certificate or agreement sent to the international relation service of the CROUS: Relations.internationales@crous.u-strasbg.fr

Arconati-Visconti residence
Since November 1st 2000, 27 rooms are available in this residence for professors in passing in the universities and the other higher education and research institution of Strasbourg.
The Arconati-Visconti residence, property of the University of Strasbourg, is managed by the CROUS on behalf of the University of Strasbourg.

Type of housing
The residence offers rooms, studios (T1) and flats (T2), furnished and equipped.
The Arconati-Visconti residence also provides collective facilities: Laundry equipped with washing machines and tumble driers, ironing spaces.
Duration
The rental duration goes from one week minimum to three months to the maximum. The residence is closed in August.

The booking is done with the intermediary of the faculties and research laboratories welcoming professors and researchers in passing in Strasbourg. The latest send their booking demands to the CROUS:

The Faculty or the research laboratory has to confirm to the CROUS the booking at least 48 hours before the tenant’s arrival. It also has to check the solvency of the tenant.
Short-stay in “host rooms”
In case of very short stays (1 to 6 days), the CROUS offers to the same public “host rooms” equipped with the best comfort in the Gallia residence, at a price of 33.76 euros the single or double room for people in passing and 24 euros for students.

Master PhD residence in Mulhouse
The CLOUS opened September 1st 2007 in Mulhouse a new residence in front of the roundabout Maurice and Katia Krafft: the Master Doctorate residence.
This new residence is the first of its type in France because the admission is done on university basis and not on social basis. It is therefore booked for students in Master or more and for researchers. The latest will be housed in an environment which will favour their studies or their research work.
The residence is equipped with modern security systems, linked to the Internet network of the UHA (University of Mulhouse), a secured car park and offers place of living (sports room, prep room, recreation room.)
The rent of 345 euros for a 16m2-equipped studio can decrease to very attractive rents (144 euros for grant beneficiaries and 187 euros for students without grants) thanks to housing assistance.
Unlike the other residence, the rental agreements are fitted to the tenant stay.
It is easy to be an applicant ! You only need to be registered in studies of at least master level or in an engineering school and to contact the CLOUS at the following address :
